An exciting opportunity is now available to work as a Research Associate on a major new international research project focussed on mega projects in Southern cities. The successful candidate will make an important contribution the 6-month project that examines how investment in urban infrastructure in the Global South is transforming cities.

The post is part of a start-up project, funded by Sheffield Institute for International Development, that will develop research publications and bids for external follow-up funding that will examine whether massive urban infrastructure projects that orient cities towards new geographies of global production and consumption have the potential to foster equitable and sustainable urbanisation.

The project is led by Dr Glyn Williams, Dr Tom Goodfellow (Department of Urban Studies and Planning) and Dr Seth Schindler (Department of Geography).
