We are pleased to welcome Matthew Snell to the team as SIID’s new Business Development Manager.

Matt has spent the last 17 years working in international development, half of which has been spent living and working in sub Saharan Africa. He was CEO of International Service and Restless Development, Country Director for Oxfam Quebec, Emergency Preparedness Adviser for Oxfam GB, and project manager for Water For People. Most recently he has undertaken long term consultancy assignments in Zambia working with Ecorys and Sunny Money (the social enterprise arm of Solar Aid).

He holds an MSc in community water supply and has experience in international development, arid and semi-arid lands, emergency preparedness, personnel management, financial management, organisational development, and business development. He has held long term positions in Kenya, Senegal and Zambia and has worked on shorter term assignments in Burkina Faso, Chad, Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea-Conakry, Mali, Mauritania, Uganda and South Africa.
