We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious researcher whose work addresses global development challenges and whose prime motivation is to carry out world-class impactful research. You will complete a research project of your own design and carry out your research programme in collaboration with an appropriate institutional partner overseas, where you will spend between 25-50% of your time. Support for travel, research and laboratory costs are available to successful applicants.
The funding for these posts has come from the Global Challenges Research Fund. Therefore all research undertaken must be ODA-compliant, and the primary overseas institutional partner must be based in a DAC-listed country. Applications must be supported by two members of staff from the University of Sheffield who will act as mentors on the project, so please make contact with appropriate mentors. We welcome interdisciplinary projects that bridge Faculties across Sheffield.
The closing date for applications is 14th January 2019
