A high level Advisory Board has been established as part of the institute’s strategy to engage with and be informed by international development activities in partner HE institutions and non HE sectors including NGO, local and national government, the media and think tanks.

In September, SIID held it’s first external Advisory Board meeting, bringing together a number of high profile development academics and practitioners to discuss SIID’s strategic direction and potential for collaboration. The meeting was a great success, with many excellent ideas put forward of how SIID can best deliver on its mission.  In keeping with SIID’s philosophy of ‘shared thinking’, the board have decided to reconvene in a more informal, collaborative manner in the new year.
