An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Associate to join our vibrant team at SIID.

Our strategic priority is to raise the institute’s profile as a leader in international development research, through expanding on our core staffing and external research funding. This new position is designed to enable us to expand our portfolio of funded research, including the research grant applications that you will be expected to submit as a key part of your role.

As Research Associate, you will have experience of writing research grant applications, undertaking collaborative research, and securing research funding, be this in an academic, development, or policy oriented institution. Experience of impact-related work and/or knowledge exchange is essential. The post may suit a candidate from an academic background (with a PhD and record of funded publications), or with significant experience of research funding in a policy or development organisation.

As well as developing bids for external funding, there will be the opportunity to publish your existing research, to present your work at national and international conferences, and to make contribution to international development policy and practice.

Deadline for applications is 29th October
