23rd March 2018, ICOSS building, University of Sheffield

hosted by the Digital Tech, Data and Innovation Research Theme of the Sheffield Institute for International Development (SIID-DDI) with special guests from the ESRC GCRF DigDev Network

“ICT4D North” is the working title for a new network connecting researchers working on ICT4D/ICTD in the North of England. It aims to foster intellectual exchange, research synergies and collaborations within our geographical region and make our multi-polar cluster of expertise visible to our partners. Following the success of the launch of the ICT4D North network and its first workshop in Manchester in June 2017, we are pleased to release this Call for Papers for the 2nd ICT4D North Workshop which will be held March 23, 2018 at the Interdisciplinary Centre of the Social Sciences (ICOSS), Sheffield University.

The workshop will seek to explore and connect current research by members of the ICT4D North network and will continue to be interdisciplinary in nature, incorporating viewpoints from across various subject areas.

We invite abstracts for a) completed research and findings, b) work in progress on which you seek feedback and c) research project ideas for which you might seek collaborators. These can be related to any topic area within the field of ICTs and Development/ICT4D/Digital Development. We particularly welcome abstracts from early-career researchers, including PhD students.
