On Tuesday 12 October, SIID will host Dr Aya Musmar (Sheffield alumna and Assistant Professor, University of Petra), Dr Melissa Gatter (postdoctoral Research Associate, Sheffield Institute for International Development), and Anwar Khweileh (Research Assistant, PPE & Refugees) for a discussion on their personal perspectives of recent fieldwork in Jordan on the GCRF-funded PPE & Refugees project, which works with refugee peer researchers to seek technical, digital, and socio-technical solutions in participatory ways.

The event will be held from 1 to 3pm in the ICOSS Conference Room as well as online. The first hour will be a talk and an opportunity to ask questions. In the second hour the team will share, in workshop style, their planned participatory action methodology for comment and feedback.

This talk will be of interest to researchers involved in participatory research as well as those who are interested in themes of decolonising methodologies and knowledge production in the global South.

Participants are welcome to come to just the first or both parts.
